Merry x’mas ya’ll, hope you guys are loving this holiday season as much as we do at marked5, it is getting cold and marked5 is overwhelmed with all the catering requests. Therefore,

Marked5 has decided to stop the regular runs and concentrate on the catering requests.

We welcome all the catering opportunities and we apologize for people that looking forward to our truck stops. We sincerely wish everybody a safe and sounding holidays and if you do have a party plan,

It’s been so crazy here @marked5 the last couple months. Since our Grand Openning on May 23, 2009 so much has happened.

When we first openned, we were 1 of 6 catering trucks (BarbiesQ, kogi, green truck, Coolhaus, Don Chow’s and Marked5) running around LA.

Since then, not only did Marked5 grow into a 2nd truck but the catering truck business has blown up! I’m telling you it’s the WILD WEST all over again. There are over 40 different Trucks out there. To list a few, NomNom, Fishlips_sushi, Buttermilk, GrillCheese, Dosa, India Jones, Flying Pig, Soul Kitchen, sushi BOMB, Bools BBQ, Calbi, skewers on Wheels, bordergrill, Franken Stand, Sprinkles, King Kone, BullKogi, lets be Frank, La BBQ guy, dog town, Philly Cheeze, la fuxion. gastrobus, frysmith,lomo argato, we like to spoon, and the list goes on and on.

How is it the WilD WEST you may ask, well let the truth be said. All the Catering Trucks are so NICE to each other because we know how much work we all put in. We look at each other and can tell that we both have the same scar wounds. Wounds of the truck breaking down on the freeway at 3 am. Wounds of waking up at 4am to prep for the day. Wounds of massive undeserved tickets/citation.

We all get along but we all fight for parking! We also battle against the Restaurants and Local parking enforcements. We tweet out our new locations and tomorrow there’ll be 20 trucks there.

There has been good reviews and bad ones. It hurts when we get bad ones and our hearts jumps for joy to the good one.

Thank goodness we all have a passion for the business/food or else the hard work may just seem overwhelming. Things are happening here @ marked5, We just got our 2nd truck…. we haven’t named it yet, kinda still getting a vibe from it. Maybe we name it after the first thing that breaks down. So if we name it “brakes” I would recommend that you wait for a complete stop before ordering.

We have a new winter line coming out. Hot Vietnamese Noodles “PHO” to warm you up.

We have also met so many great people of LOS ANGELES in the last couple months!
